THE HUB – Black Panther: Park It!

black panther parkOn this episode, we present the next installment of our series of armchair imagineering shows, Black Panther: Park It! The “Park It!” series of shows is where we take a property that has zero representation in the Disney Parks and come up with a vision of how to introduce it into the parks.

Below is the premise for this exercise.

The Walt Disney Company has received approval to capitalize on the success of Black Panther, especially since it is still relevant. Due to their perceived success of Pandora: The World of Avatar, the Imagineers would like to send patrons to another fictional land which they are calling, Wakanda: The World of Black Panther.

After a very extensive search process, the Walt Disney Company has narrowed down their list of potential contractors to four companies:

  • Lawless Innovations Inc
  • Kevin Kreative Ltd
  • The Ivory Corporation
  • Lastovica Designs LLC.

This is your role.

There are specific things that you, the board, have instructed the four finalists to discuss in their pitch and below is the memo you had sent the four companies.

“Congratulations on being finalists! You have the unique opportunity to work with the Walt Disney Company in designing the next guest experience for Walt Disney World. If you are chosen, your designs will bring enjoyment and create memories for many for years to come.

For your final task, we are providing you four spaces: a large space, a medium space, and a couple of small spaces. You have the freedom to choose whatever you desire to build in those spaces. The only restriction is that is has to be related to the World of Black Panther and it has to convincely fit in that size space. Below are some helpful hints to help you with your designs. Good luck!”

This week, you, the listener, are playing the role as the Walt Disney Company Board. Once you hear the pitches from the four finalists you will get a chance to vote on the attractions you would like to see in Wakanda: The World of Black Panther.
